Sectionals are required for all 7th and 8th grade band students. They take place once a week, and they are a weekly grade in the gradebook. It is an easy 100 with proper preparation and timeliness!🙂

What do we work on in sectionals?

Sectionals are a crucial time for us to work on instrument-specific techniques and fundamentals as well as the all-region music and scales in the fall semester and UIL music in the spring semester.

My child is an athlete/dancer/cheerleader etc., and they have morning practice. What should they do?

We have many students who are involved in other activities. We work closely with the coaches to ensure that they split their time between the activities. Students should come to band first, and then they will be released to their other morning activities. Prior communication with directors/coaches/sponsors is expected.
