Kingwood Park Marching Band
Our Marching Band, which includes the Color Guard, is comprised of roughly 100 students in grades 8-12, making it the largest student organization on campus. The Panther Band performs at home and away football games, pep rallies, select local parades, local competitions and exhibitions, and several regional and area USBands and UIL competitions.
Practices
The KPark Marching Band begins their season mid-July with Drum Major/Leadership camps and Color Guard/Percussion camps and then one week of full-day Band Camp beginning at the end of July and then late afternoon to evening practices until school starts. Rehearsals continue most Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays throughout the season from 3:30 to 6:00 unless a football game is on Thursday night (ALWAYS check the weekly schedule for any changes).
Competitions and Performances
The Band usually participates in 3 to 4 competitions during the Fall (mostly October) and performs at all home and away varsity football games. Humble ISD hosts a Marching Band Showcase, spotlighting the marching bands from all five district high schools at Turner Stadium.

Captain
The Color Guard Captain helps Add vibrant hues to our Marching Band's canvas, orchestrating captivating visual displays that complement our music. Leading the dance between flags, rifles, and sabers, they infuse emotion and artistry into every performance. With poise and precision, the Color Guard Captain guides their team to synchronize movements, enhancing our shows with a symphony of color and grace.
