Fundraising
Why We Fundraise
Participating in fundraising activities is crucial for the Kingwood Park Band Program. Guest conductors, new instruments, leading edge music compositions, and sectional technicians are just some of the reasons to support our fundraisers. While fees cover about 50% of the costs, fundraising efforts from all families help balance the budget. Fundraisers offer the chance to learn new skills, gain confidence, and take partial responsibility for financing activities. Student participation fosters a sense of achievement and ownership in the Band Program.

Earning Fundraising Credits to Reduce Fees
Band fundraisers offer members the opportunity to earn an amount that they can apply to their band fee accounts (Fair Share Fee, Winter Guard, KPIPE, etc.). Some programs provide 100% credit for funds raised, while others vary based on the fundraising program. Details are announced when each program launches, and they may change yearly based on availability and success. Families have earned 100% of their band fees through fundraising, and others have reduced fees by up to 90%.
A spirit night involves partnering with a local restaurant that donates a portion of sales during a designated period. Supporters visit the restaurant, make purchases, and the proceeds benefit the band. It fosters community engagement and supports both the band and the restaurant.
Tamale Sale
Indulge in the festive flavors of tradition with our seasonal tamale sales! Celebrate both Christmas and Cinco de Mayo with delicious tamales, handcrafted to perfection. These limited-time offerings are a delectable way to savor the spirit of these special occasions.
This festive event is designed to create a joyful and magical atmosphere for everyone. During the event, attendees can enjoy a variety of fun activities, games, vendors, food, and attractions inspired by the holiday season. To support the cause, participants will purchase tickets or wristbands that grant them access to the different carnival activities. This event not only serves as a way to raise funds but also brings the community together, spreading joy and holiday cheer.
Garage Sale
For this fundraiser, students participate by bringing items from their homes to sell. The Boosters will advertise the garage sale, inviting the entire community to attend the sale and purchase items they are interested in. The money generated from the sales goes directly to the respective student sellers, who can use it to help offset their band fees or other related expenses.
